Key Personnel – Mini Bios
Lynn Gustafson, daughter of founder Ray Hopkins, started her career with Royal Rubber Stamp & Sign Co. in 1984. Since then, she has been involved in many aspects of the company, including rubber stamp manufacturing, typesetting, shipping and receiving, branch management and accounting.
In 1999, 15 years after she started with the company, Lynn purchased Royal Rubber Stamp from her father. She remains actively involved in celebration planning for employee birthdays, anniversaries and milestones.
Lynn has continued her father’s valued tradition of encouraging and supporting the ideas and pursuits of the very innovative team at Royal Rubber Stamp.
With more than 33 years experience in the industry, Donna Hannah consistently delivers on Royal Rubber Stamp’s mandate to provide customer service that exceeds client expectations.
Donna has expertise in all aspects of customer service, including sales, marketing, accounting, quality assurance, problem solving and human resources.
She is proud to manage the accounts for several long-term corporate clients such as the University of Alberta, Manshield Construction, Stantec and the Government of Alberta. These organizations rely on Donna’s acute attention to detail, frequent progress updates and her commitment to complete all projects on time.
As production manager, Jim Avery oversees all aspects of production and maintains a hands-on approach in the department to ensure high-quality products are crafted to meet the high standards established by Royal Rubber Stamp.
Jim is often directly involved with designing, building and installing materials, making certain all expectations are exceeded and deadlines are met.
He has a background in graphic/commercial arts and visual communication and is constantly researching new technology. He embraces all challenges as opportunities for growth, hence Royal Rubber Stamp’s company motto: “We love a challenge.”
During his 27 years with Royal Rubber Stamp, Jim has showcased his passion for the industry through his involvement in the design component for several major projects. He was instrumental in the success of projects for the Edmonton Humane Society, Red Deer and District SPCA, and Animal Care and Control Centre.
Trish Semeniuk oversees daily operations of all departments within production – including engraving, stamp, laser, digital printing and vinyl – and is responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring large-scale installations.
She plays a vital role in meeting multiple deadlines and producing high-quality products, while ensuring employee safety.
Trish joined the Royal Rubber Stamp team after obtaining a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Alberta. Her well-rounded technical knowledge gained from her studies, coupled with training and development in workplace safety, loss management and her passion for innovation, makes Trish an integral member of the Royal Rubber Stamp team.
As lead installer with Royal Rubber Stamp, Stefan Candie oversees numerous installation projects from start to finish. Throughout the process, his main focus is complete client satisfaction.
Stefan has more than 10 years experience in the industry and has developed a wide range of skills through his work in every department within Royal Rubber Stamp’s fabrication division. This experience enables Stefan to make judgement calls and recommendations to provide the client with the best possible outcome.
Stefan is also responsible for performing site inspections to help assess a client’s needs and provide creative solutions.
Recent projects Stefan was involved with include MacEwan University's Allard Hall, the Edmonton Remand Centre, the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, Atco Electric in Grande Prairie and the University of Alberta’s Health Research Innovation Facility (Katz and Li Ka Shing).
